  1. I have a yl1 and manual it says use 30 detergent oil just under 1 pint they put seven eighths of a pint or a little less than half a quart in gearbox this quote is in the Yamaha riders manual for yl1 in the service manual it says one and three eighths pints or 650cc.not sure which is right.

The LS2 came after the YL1 and was a modernized Twin Jet.

The LS2 gained a 5 speed transmission and a tach drive.

An interesting note, the book I have from Yamaha states that the TA125 started as an LS2 bottom end.
